National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts
衛武營國家藝術文化中心
Beneath a sweeping roof inspired by banyan trees, Weiwuying brings performance spaces and everyday public life together. Designed by architect Francine Houben, the arts center sits beside a generous metropolitan park, making the architecture as rewarding to explore as the performances inside. Walk through the open spaces beneath the roof, take in its flowing curves, and leave time for the lawns beyond. A ticketed concert or guided visit can turn this architectural stop into a longer cultural outing.
